Followed your lead and wrapped a 3 ohm contact coil....pulsed until I had a solid glow. Remounted onto v/w and added five drops just to check it out at 9 watts....my little dripper is now a ripper with fangs. And no the second pic is not a lightning bolt short, but just some Black Cavendish pooled in the well...caught me off guard after blowing the picture up as I thought that also.

I'd like to try ekowool, but I only have 3mm at the moment. Don't think that'll fit. I may say screw it and rock cotton. Might be a challenge getting it not to leak though.

Cotton on a pro tank? Seems like it would wick too much and flood....but who knows until you try...post results as I have a couple of T3s in retirement and may try to repurpose them.

What's nice about cotton, is I could stuff a whole ball of it in if I needed to. I'll stay optimistic. I'm not a huge fan of the pro tank so I have 2 of them here collecting dust.

    Sorry for the crappy pics.....

Here's the coil with 32 gauge kanthal. I usually like to squeeze the coil together while it's firing to make sure they are evenly touching, but I couldn't find my small needle nose pliers. It's pretty tight in there. The coils glow from the middle anyway so I'm not too worried about it.

Here's the "flavor wick" before I shortened it. I think the little rubber cup will be put to good use with this setup.

Came out to 2.0 ohms exactly.

Flavor? Just as good as my dripper with the same setup.

Temp? Definitely warmer than the stock coil @ 7 watts.

Vapor? Not too bad. My dripper puts out more, but I think it's the design of the protank itself rather than the coil.

TH? Average for the juice I have in it ( AIV Orange Cremesicle, in case you were wondering).

All in all I think I can say that I'm now happy with the performance of the protank. I haven't experienced any leaking at all, however I literally just built it so time will tell!
